In my first installment of “Michael’s CRM Tips” I thought it would be important to give out the definition of CRM. There are thousands of definitions but the one I found that hits the mark was from Wikepedia and it states:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) covers methods and technologies used by companies to manage their relationships with clients. Information stored on existing customers (and potential customers) is analyzed and used to this end. Automated CRM processes are often used to generate automatic personalized marketing based on the customer information stored in the system.
I think that sums it up as a general definition and understanding of CRM but Brent and I have modified the definition, basically because there is no one fits all description but the one that resembles “your” company’s strategic goals is the clear definition:
How your particular business plans to interact with customers (current and potential) to create loyalty….profitability….and advocacy.
So with that being said I look forward to bringing you weekly CRM Tips to assist in getting your arms around your company’s CRM initiatives.
