Show : Using Avatars to Convert Website Visitors into Customers
Guest : Adi Sideman, Founder and CEO of
OddCastAired : Saturday July 21st, 2007
Small businesses are still struggling to provide interesting, informative content on their websites to attract new site visitors, and to keep others coming back. This is important as it usually takes more than one site visit to convert a web visitor into a web lead. Many still feel it's too difficult and time consuming to crank out good content, but there are a growing number of options making it easy and affordable to do so. One way that's catching on rapidly is adding talking animated characters, also know as avatars, to your site to provide information and navigational assistance to site vistors.
Our guest this week is Adi Sideman, ceo of Oddcast. Oddcast develops and distributes talking avatar products, including SitePal. He'll fill us in on how using avatars on your site can potentially improve business results and convert website traffic into leads. We also spend a few minutes with Best Buy For Business' Shawn Carroll to find out more about the program, and to find out what small businesses are buying in the stores these days. We also roll out the inaugural "Four Good Minutes" segment featuring our buddy Paul Greenberg and his early take on the iPhone.
