As the U.S. Senior Manager of Small Business Community Engagement,
Eric Ligman
is the community lead for the Partner Community Manager Team. In this role, he is the liaison between Microsoft Headquarters and the Partner Community Managers in the field. This includes: setting strategy and initiatives, providing resources and information, and communicating promotions and offers for the team to deliver out to the Partner Community. He also is the person who funnels information from the Partner Community Managers back to Microsoft, and runs the Microsoft Small Business Channel Community (

Tom Harshbarger
, a 15-year veteran of the technology industry, specializes in helping small and medium-sized concerns use software to maximize their efficiency and profitability. In his current capacity, he works with firms in a variety of industries to ensure that they reap the full benefit of their technology investments. Prior to joining Microsoft, Harshbarger spent 10 years building custom software, and five years managing technical sales resources. He is a graduate of the R.B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, and has served as an advisor to its Management Science Department at his alma mater for more than 10 years.
